Pretty sure all capo's do the required job. I mainly use the G7th but as a backup (cause I keep losing them) I have the Shubb and a trigger.

after trying nearly every type,  I prefer Shubb.............. the G7th is the best mechanism, but the radius and thin rubber pads just didnt work with any of my guitars...............you had to clamp it too tight to stop string buzz

I currently use the G7th Newport, though I have a G7th Performance here somewhere ( too heavy for me and for sale ).

Having said that I have a couple of Kyser partial capos that I like too.

G7th for live easy-ness.

Shubb for recording in-tune-ness but not so good live if you need it in more than 1 position.

Tbh the only capo I don't like is the Dunlop trigger- too much stiffness makes it useless on anything less than 11s.

I've got a Schubb and a G7th Performance.  I really like the G7th though it only just fits my R7's baseball bat neck!

G7 fits my tanglewood well, easy peasy to use.

Had a shubb years back and that was nice.

Had a dunlop one but the rubber fell off.

I have the Shubb and the Dunlop Trigger.

Prefer the Shubb - not as quick to pop on, and you can't clamp it on the end of the headstock when you're not using it, but you do have much more control over the tension. It's also a bit more unobtrusive in use.

Have always used Shubb and happy withthem but recently switched to Paige and very impressed so far.

I don't use a capo often, but when I do, it's a Kyser.  Does exactly what it should, never had a problem.
