Yob were absofuckinglutely amazing despite the bass amp blowing up mid set which was actually kinda cool 'cause Mike did his own thing for a bit. Got to meet Mike too!

I was front row dead centre about 10 foot from what looked like two superleads. It was a bit of a religious experience ;-) Yea, he was just super chill and kind.

Its hard to say because there is so much variety in doom...but if i was to say what i'm listening to mist recently, it would be Elder, YOB and Pallbearer.

YOB's new album is amazing and Elder's dead roots stirring is great...i think from Pallbearer i really like Foundations of Burden.

@samzadgan it sounds farkin great. It's pretty much a plexi copy with partridges I think but it's got alot of grind. I'm sure @ICBM knows more :-p I ran it full volume for 15 mins in the shop through a 4x12 with v30s to make sure it didn't blow up. Sounded exceptional and again had it full volume through my creamback H loaded zilla at home for a few minutes (I think I felt something break in my ears (60W) ;-) At full whack it's the early Iommi tone dead on. I just need an SG now ;-) 

@ThePrettyDamned smart ass answer but Black Sabbath! and after that I'd say every Electric Wizard album. Sleep - DOPESMOKER is THE pinnacle album/song/journey. Early YOB albums would be on my starter list too - Elaborations of Carbon. Catharis. The Illusion of Motion. High On Fire - The Art of Self Defense. But like Sam said you could be given an endless list!

Uncharacteristically, the new Pig Destroyer EP is full on doom, and for my money completely awesome - something about his voice really hits the spot in this track, and the riffs are ridiculous
