Harp guitars are fricking fantastic. I came across a builder at a little show in Essex who’d brought several along with him, One of them was a fanned thread baritone monster and even if you didn’t touch the extra strings the sheer depth of the sympathetic resonance from extra low tuned strings made it sound and feel like there was an invisible subwoofer somewhere and just the odd well placed dab of the left thumb now and again to suggest a bass line made even my rudimentary attempts at folky picking sound kind of special.
