Wordle?

I still do Wordle and, um, Redactle: https://redactle-unlimited.com/ which is a random Wikipedia entry completely redacted (except for some basic words). For a long time I found it completely impossible, but I think I've got the hang of it now. I do allow myself to do research when it's something (like science or maths) that I honestly don't know the terminology for. I still find it interesting to do, even when I don't get it.

I do Wordle and Weaver daily although Weaver has just started having adverts which is frustrating.

I still do wordle and quordle most days. Nerdle most days but that annoys me regularly. 

I don’t like squardle and heardle doesn’t work in this country, but I do liked Framed

Just tried Squardle. Took me half an hour! It's a clever game but I don't have time for that in the morning.

You get quicker.  It remembers your progress, so you can do five minutes and then come back to it later.

The difficulty varies through the week.  Monday is normally the easiest and it gets harder through the week.  They won't all take that long.

re ads... I usually do it at wordle.com, but just logged into the NYtimes link (https://www.nytimes.com/games/wordle/index.html) and it has a banner ad there.

I don't mind a banner advert - a small price to pay for a daily puzzle.

Today's Phrazle is wrong. There's a homonym in there that makes it meaningless, and it's not a UK/US spelling thing.

It had to happen one day - Wordle used my usual starting word so I got a "hole in one" for the first time.

Are any of you guys using today's solution word as your regular starting word?

No, but todays did make me think a lot of people would have it as a starter word. 

I have had both my typical starters come up in the last few months. It actually annoyed me because then you don’t really get to do the puzzle!

Yes, this is a starter word I frequently use, so I finally got the hole in one this morning as well! As sticky says, there are probably lots of people use this word.

I know what you mean, it was quite a novelty to get it in one, but then realised that there was no puzzle for today. 

Next decision, should I change my standard opening word?

I have a standard 2 openers - sound and irate. When sound came up I switched to using irate first , but when irate came up I realised I didn't actually care about getting "1s" so didn't change to different starting words.

Yes it's my starter word sometimes. But I mainly use ADIEU.

Oops I suppose everybody now knows that's not the word today
