Aunty Rona interfering in life has meant there are less coins in the coffers for last year than there should be, so I'm having a New Years sale to put the smile back on my Piggy Bank's face.

I think these are all priced to be attractive and as always, it's lovely to meet fretboarders.

Happy to take a little trip to meet up or talk about postage. Payment by cash or transfer please.

The AC in the pics here is also going up for sale
https://www.thefretboard.co.uk/discussion/220231/1964-vox-ac10-twin#latest

Going to add this one in here, I know a few folks were looking at these a week or two back. Sorry I wasn't on the ball with this then.

SOLD Brad Paisley Esquire. £750

Not much to say about this that you don't already know. I love it but I love my SC Relics Paisley Thineline just that little more.

Has it's Fender bag but I'm short a box for posting it.

Sold -Fender Classic 50s Strat - £650

This is something unique, has been on hold for a long while but sadly we never got across the line. It started life as Mexican Classic 50s and has been completely taken back to bare wood and parts, refinished, aged and rebuilt. The body now has a thin nitro two tone burst that has been rubbed back and faded before the top coat was applied. So the look is very much ware from the outside and colour fade from the under the lacquer. The neck has had much the same process, so the checking is both beautiful and matching from head to toe. It's just had a full fret dress and set up with the magical Andy Manners, so it's playing impeccably.

The pickups have a gloriously vintage vibe to them. Smooth, low output, and the whole guitar has so much clarity and sparkle.

    *Deal Pending*
    Rivolta Mondata XVIII - £900

Bought revcently after being really really impressed with the Mondata baritone. I was fairly skeptical about the whole Rivolta brand for a while, I know that Denis Fano's reputation speaks very loudly but they are still made by Eastwood and their reputation, when it comes to quality, is not always so hot. But seeing the retailers that have chosen to stock them did suggest they are a top level product. And you know what? They really are.

The finish is deep and flawless, the fretwork is that of a premium brand, the set up it arrived with is excellent, the pickups have genuine character and it plays with a smooth low action. Oh.... and did I mention, it's sparkly and lovely 3

Music Man St Vincent HH Blue Dawn - £1200

People go on a lot about Music Man, how there is nothing like them and once you play one you'll never go back etc etc. I've played one or two before but I was never smitten until this one. There is lot of truth in how fabulous the necks feel but there is much more to the formula here. The weight, shape and balance all work together to hit a super sweet spot and as one of our finer gents here said to me, nothing cups a moob better. I can confirm this is true btw. The biggest surprise for me with this guitar, with its space age look is how vintage the pickups sound. It's totally not what you'd expect and makes this a perfect HH guitar for people that don't always get Humbuckers or find them muddy and overpowering. There is also two split coil settings on the 5 way switch, which are really not bad at all. Other stuff not mentioned in the little spec list are the stainless frets and the very awesome case. A fully fitted, proper flight case affair.

Now, pay attention. This bit is important.
The guitar is in fabulous condition but it has had A SIGNIFICANT NECK/HEAD REPAIR.
It suffered a drop before it had even been sold by Andertons and they have had it repaired. It's the best neck repair I've seen, had to see at all and impossible to feel but it's there. Please take a close look at the pics.

Very nice. Eastwood dont build them btw just distribute. MIRR build them, as well as building Duesenbergs, Reverend and some PRS SEs.

Ahhhhh, that would make sense @lustycourtier as they don’t match what I’ve heard about Eastwood. Thank you

I though the pink Rivolta was the baritone.  Apologies, got ahead of myself. I’ve already got this guitar, but in a more mundane colour.
Prod me with a stick if the baritone comes up for sale.

These Rivoltas are awesome quality guitars.

Completely understand, this issue means different things to different folks. You’re only one county over from here and very welcome to come, have a coffee and take it for a spin while it’s here. Not that many opportunities to check out a St Vincent.

No! Absolutely not. It was done by someone with taste and talent.

  • The St Vincent's are incredible guitars! I definitely regret selling mine. They may look pretty space age and wacky but they are super ergonomic, the pickups are great (I had the 3 mini humbucker version and they were brilliant), the arrangement of different positions on the pickup switch made total sense for the sounds I liked (I think mine had bridge and neck humbucker in 'position 1' - normally just neck position) and the necks are glorious.
Keeping an eye on this one for sure!
