I was also told to use shorter length tapes rather than c90s, which I think is correct. That said I have used c90s with no problems when necessary. Sometimes people sell unused cassettes on Facebook marketplace, I managed to get some from there fairly cheap a while back.

I've managed to find a very cheap Tascam MF-P01. I'm gonna get this just to try my hands at it as I've never recorded to tape before. If I enjoy the process, I'll look into upgrading.

I've been contemplating the idea of building a completely Dawless home studio setup, it looks super interesting creatively.
