 What a wonderful guitar. Nice modern take on a strat. 2 point trem, Fat 50s and Dimarzio pups. Quarter sawn neck and light. 

 Whacked it on reverb as the set up made it quite stiff, but now Ive set it up its a very smooth and slinky player.

 I hate strats, but dont mind this. High praise. 


 

That's a great looking strat and your lawn is in fantastic condition too!

Yep. The original 1976 Explorer is the main guitar on Boy and October, then Strat and Les Paul crept in for bits of War (at least Sunday Bloody Sunday and New Year's Day respectively). Then the Strats took over from Unforgettable Fire, JT and Rattle & Hum. Though JT and R&H also have a fair bit of Les Paul, ES-345 and White Falcon on them

I seem to recall an interview that suggested New Year's Day was played on his White Les Paul Custom. the black strat, late 70's/early 80s new one was used on October on Gloria, I Threw A Brick Through A Window and possibly other songs. The 1973 Strat came later.
