Inspired by Macca’s brilliant set last night, what’s your favourite Beatles songs to play?
Hard Day’s Night, I saw her standing there, Day Tripper, Paper back writer, I could jam along to them for hours

only really do one these days,  - Come Together,  cos you can "adapt" it quite easily to different styles.

Dont do any other beatles choons
just because you don't, doesn't mean you can't

Something has a very satisfying chord sequence. Blackbird is a nice warm up exercise for acoustic. Penny Lane is more challendging than i expected - I'm a bit too lazy to get it dead on.

Watching last night reminded me that I've listened to more of his Wings and solo stuff in recent years than the Beatles - there's a bunch of songs there that I'd like to be able to play.

Get Back. Simple as anything and fun to play.
I play guitar because I enjoy it rather than because I’m any good at it

Whenever we play Twist & Shout the audience go absolutely bananas so while not the hardest or anything, it is a blast.

I'm working on In My Life at the moment. Brilliant intro and brilliant outro too. But that G/F to C to Cm is tricky for rookies like me. I am playing the G/F at fret three.strings 1 and 4(which the tab didnt advise) to make the C to Cm a lot easier. I am pretty ok on barre chords too but need to get quicker between chord transitions. I tend to play quite a bit of Beatles stuff, but only parts at present as I am not quite able to do full songs just yet.

I Feel Fine - that dominant 7th chord intro where he reaches across with his little finger for a note is absolute Lennon genius.
I would never have thought to play something like that.
It's not easy to play as well (I'm guessing it was easier for Lennon on a smaller scale Rickenbacker neck?).

the beatles song book,  was pretty much the tool by which I learnt to play.  For two reasons.

    1) my brother had a copy  - and tutorial things where hard to come-by back then
    2) it had tab / chords  in  and the songs were by and large  "playalongable"

no other reason, it wouldnt have been my "content of choice"
