Another two for the cash grab pile, one that’s a real treat for a small price and one very special number indeed.

Ibanez AFS75T - £250

These are fantastic, all hollow beasties that play even better than they look. The pickups have a nice vintage warmth to them, the roller bridge helps to keep things nicely in tune with the “Ibsby” trem and the tuners do their job without fuss. The build quality is great and the finish isn’t short of wow factor.

    Charvel Surfcaster - £1750

This is the absolute, rare as hens teeth, real deal, original guitar. From the 1992/96 Japanese Charvel run, this is all original and comes in the original case too. There is one very small ding on the front of the guitar but other than that, the only sign it’s fresh from the factory is the ageing on the binding. It all works as it should, including the original push/push pot for out phase middle position. It has just been set up by the magical Andy Manners and had a little fret sprout dealt with at the same time, so it plays beyond beautifully as well being sub zero cool too.

The Ibanez is a super cool 50s style thing........it reminds me of bowling Alleys,Diners and Chevy Bel-airs
I love the Pinstripe work on it too

Even the stock pickups on the ibby are excellent. I’ve had two of these, cracking guitars.   Gretsch G5420 beaters, and fabulous controllable feedback there if you want it.
    Love these guitars.

The Charvell is pretty good too ;). Proper quality guitar!

Feeling pretty gutted about setting this one free but I’m so glad I’ve had the chance to own one. You should come and give it a try. You might hate it ;)

@dazzajl I remember the Surfcasters having quite a skinny neck, is this the case here?

Desperately trying to talk myself out of it ;)

Yup, it’s a skinny one. Might be an ubercool surfy vibe machine but it’s still a Charvel and that dna is pretty obvious too.

I’m a chonky neck fan as a rule but I love playing this one.

Bloody Nora.  Those are two absolutely fantastic guitars.  Never seen another example of the Ibanez and the Surfcaster is nothing short of spectacular.  I doubt either will be hanging around for long.

I accidentally bought a SECOND 70s Jazzmaster this week. Whoops.

Given there's more than a remote chance I'll buy it once I'm in the same room I have to decline, though thank you for the very kind offer!
