If I'm around people I like to talk about music, in a positive way.  So if someone tells me their favourite band, usually there are some songs of theirs I like or something, and it makes the painful process of socialising a bit easier - especially if it's a work thing.

So my favourite game is to ask people...

• Who are/is your favourite band or act of all time - only ONE act, no lists!!

• Who are your favourite band or act whose debut album was released in the LAST TEN YEARS - again, only ONE act...

What say ye?  Remember it's your FAVOURITE - this is not one of those daft threads where we pretend you can make an objective judgement.

Also NO GATEKEEPING - if people are saying their favourites nobody has a right to tell them they are wrong...

It's actually quite hard to think of a band whose debut was in the last 10 years.  All the ones I'm thinking of are 11 or 12 years... time flies.

Yeah I know one of my colleagues when I asked at the management xmas meal 2022 said the Killers, I had to point out their debut came out over 20 years ago ..

I'd say it was a FOAT rather than GOAT, because for me Favourite is different than Greatest but you already know that I'm sure.

My FOAT is White Stripes, 100%

My FOLTY is harder. Not really any bands I can think of but a few solo artists I guess. I'll go with Billie Eilish
