    GOAT - The Specials

    GOLTY - The Interrupters

[ my musical tastes I’d suggest are more varied than a band and a band influenced by that band might suggest but if I can only name two...]

I said XTC to be a bit different. But really it's The Beatles / Bowie depending on the day. How could it not be?

Last ten years - absolutely no idea, so I'll go with the new version of Gong, which i count debut as Rejoice, I'm dead (2016).

GOAT - genuinely, nothing is coming to mind. It’s not a case of second-guessing myself or self-editing…blimey, do I really not have a favourite band?!?!
I’ll say U2, as they’re a band I have constantly listened to over the course of their career.

GOLTY - Marcus King Band. No contest. That was a lot easier.

I had to Google yours, so fairly unlikely!

What I was going to suggest was for the benefit of the curious anyone could edit their post with a link to an appropriate playlist of their best stuff...

GOAT - hard as I have favourite bands from many different eras, but picking one, it would have to be Wishbone Ash
GOLTY - the first two I had were both more than 10 years old (Pretty Reckless and Joanne Shaw Taylor), so it is Ally Venable

GOAT - The Beatles (boring, but true)

GOLTY - The Interrupters (hard to find any bands I listen to whose debut was in the last 10 yrs, but these cats are special...)

GOAT - probably RATM. Don't think there's a bad song on any of their albums.

Not sure on the last 10 years. Wolf Alice is a good shout even though I don't like their latest at all. The first album was brilliant, second has some great stuff on it as well.

    See I find this interesting.

I think "Blue Weekend" is a fucking masterpiece, with both the debut and the second album brilliant but not quite as brilliant.

I'm also a little bit in love with Ellie, but  think it's hard not to be as a straight male fan of WA.

FOAT - too hard to pick just one really, but if forced then it's probably still the Beatles.

FOTLTY - Jake Bugg. If he doesn't count because his first album was in late 2012, then it has to be... Harry Styles. Really.

You can have Jake Bugg, my pub game rules are very generous :)

Harry's a handsome lad isn't he, talented fellow as well.
