    Does the AI gig too?

Well Ian Brown gigs to a backing track to save paying a band - not long before he gets a hologram to take his place as well.
Presumably it would be an improvement in that specific case?
They could train the hologram to sing in tune

There will only ever be one hologram hero in my eyes...

Cool, but I'd have to differ...

I think it’s an interesting topic.

Definitely agree with the notion that it must be human expression to be proper art.

And yet, it could be no less moving to the listener all the same.
It is interesting, definitely. AI full stop is pretty darned fascinating especially as it moves into ethics and philosophy, asking questions of what is sentience etc. Love all that.

Which makes me ask, why do I think it's a bit sad to see it involved in creative arts? Maybe that is a personal prejudice. Worth thinking about!
I think the answer lies somewhere around it devaluing the human experience. If AI can replicate the power and meaning of great works of art, some of which capture the very essence of what it means to be human, then what does that leave us with?

Someone asked an AI how you could solve the worlds environmental issues. The solution included neutering humans and genocide. It seems it is not shy of making the tough decisions! I think I'd rather it was busying itself by making crap music.

AI does scare me a little but I can't help but have a dabble occasionally.

My brother and his wife are currently on holiday in Thailand and have had issues with the electrics where they are staying so being a good brother I used ChatGPT to create a song for him and then Suno AI to create music.

I'd never used Suno before and am pretty gob smacked at the results!

I'd hate a world which was full of artificial intelligence music though.

    The results

    The Music

    Lyrics
    (Verse 1)
In a bungalow by the sea, John and Helen feeling free,
Thailand's beauty all around, but a shocking surprise they found.
In the shower, water's flow, but little did they really know,
Electric shocks, oh what a pain, turning joy to holiday disdain.

    (Chorus)
Oh, John and Helen, on a Thai delight,
But the bungalow's shower got them in a fright,
Electric shocks, like a bolt from the blue,
Ruining the holiday, what can they do?

    (Verse 2)
Helen screams, John jumps back, feeling shocks along their track,
Water pump in disarray, sparks flying, ruining their day,
Vacation dreams now short-circuited, frustration and anger deeply rooted,
In paradise, a shocking twist, a holiday memory they'd rather resist.

    (Chorus)
Oh, John and Helen, under Thai skies,
But the bungalow's shower got them by surprise,
Electric jolts, like a slap in the face,
Spoiling the moments, leaving no trace.

    (Bridge)
They called the manager, with frustration in their voice,
"Fix this mess, it's ruining our choice!"
In the tropics, where the sun should shine,
Electric shocks became the unwelcome sign.

    (Verse 3)
A handyman arrives, tools in hand,
To mend the issue, take a stand,
    John and Helen, fingers crossed,
Hoping for relief, no more shocks.

    (Chorus)
Oh, John and Helen, in the Land of Smiles,
But the shocking shower tests their wiles,
Electric currents, messing with their cheer,
In Thailand's warmth, but not without fear.

    (Outro)
As the repairs are underway, John and Helen try to sway,
Back to bliss, and holiday delight,
Hoping for normalcy, under Thailand's starry night.

We're Chas and Dave even real? Perhaps they are just super-smart, time-travelling, AI-enhanced cyborgs from the future, who were created by the Cockneys who were the only humans to survive WW3, because they are 'tough as old boots'?

I think you're confusing Cockneys with cockroaches
