FS: PRS SE Silver Sky - Photos & Video

This is the guitar that changed everything for me. A recent PRS adventure allowed me to play many different types of PRS, including the £4K+ Studio and Special models etc. The standout was the SE Silver Sky... go figure...

I own a Fender Masterbuilt 63 Jason Smith heavy relic, so for me to be impressed by a Strat takes some doing...

This is a beauty. Plays and sounds superbly, straight out of the box. The 2 and 4 positions sound like the Strat 'in my head'. I was so impressed I went and bought a gold Core model.




I did play some SEs where the knobs seemed to turn at a funny angle; not this one.

I've got the original boxes - inner and outer so could be posted if required. Also, happy to meet up and share a coffee and chats

I'm looking for £497 - always open to offers and we can discuss postage.

Needs to go to a good home, as I already feel attached to this, and it will delight who ever owns it.

These SE Silver Skys are great. I’ve never got on with Strats but I played one and the neck was great.

I bought one of these in the sale - £497 for a strat this good is bargainous and well done for actually offering a meaningful discount for being used - GLWTS!

Yep, I'm not being greedy with this one, and I'm always open to offers and negotiations  

Genuinely, in this instance, it's not about the money - more wanting to pass on an incredible guitar for someone..

Thing is, as Ive openly stated in my threads, I bought the SE not really knowing I like it, let alone love it,

So, Im not selling because it hasn't worked out for me; Im selling because it has - I went and bought the more expensive Core model, I was so impressed...

But no, to answer your question, 4 days is a lifetime for me

I played one of these the other day when I went to pick up some guitars from the tech. He had one in and he wanted to know what I thought of it. It looks like a Fender, and sounds like (a good) one, but it definitely plays like a PRS. Was super impressed with the feel and the sound

See that was what I hoped when buying one and I'd say that's exactly what they achieve.

I've been tempted for the same reason as you. If the jack socket was on the side rather than the front I would probably have bought one, and that's from someone who doesn't buy guitars.

You know, Im the same. Been bought up on Teles, so thats the norm for me...

PRS have really engineered the jack well though. It is a moulded metal jack plate, curved to make plugging and unplugging a guitar cable hassle-free.

I would love to. There’s a few things on here right now that are gorgeous guitars and good value and this is probably the best ‘bang for buck’ it’s getting a little crowded here though and I do have a fabulous Strat
