Mattress question…

Me and the missus stayed in a hotel in Brighton this weekend and had the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in.   Couldn’t find a manufacturers name on it, but it was  adorned with this logo:

Any ideas what it is?

Fuck knows. However I finally found out a few years ago that spending money on a decent mattress is a really good thing to do. 

It’s hard to actually justify it sometimes when they all look much the same, but mattresses and pillows  are worthwhile spending money on

Personally I hate it when o stay in a hotel and there are p p marks all over the mattress.

Begin by complimenting the hotel on the comfort of the bed during your recent stay. 

My guess is that the PP (or qp) logo relates to the name of the hotel rather than the brand of the mattresses they use.

I'm with Funkfingers on this one.  Most likely to be a hotel group / chain of hotels that has enough buying power to have beds and / or mattresses made for them.  I've looked through hundreds of bed and mattress logos and I don't see anything resembling that.  Although the logo for the Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts group (Radisson) isn't the same as the one on the mattress, perhaps it was when it used to be Park Plaza International Hotels, Inns and Resorts.  It is also possible that PP (or QP) refers to a company that have a business selling or leasing equipment to hotels, or that subcontract domicilliary staff, services and equipment to hotels.

Perhaps they were scammed with fakes and bought Qealy Posturepedic mattresses?

the closest logo I can find from a quick bit of searching is -  The Plaza New York

Its a bit more ornate, but has the back to back Ps  or qp

I wouldn't be shocked if they used Hypno's mattresses - a lot of higher end boutique hotels use these now-a-days.

Was it a Premier Inn? Lenny Henry says they've got really comfy beds.

My wife always says never try and save money on mattresses or shoes, you spend all your time in either one or the other!

Great detective work…. It certainly looks similar.  Can’t imagine the The Old Ship Inn Brighton imports stuff from NYC though?

After a lot of research we went for a John Ryan one.

Yikes, I thought dropping £2k on a mattress was significant.

Depends whether it's in notes or bullion. 

Or bouillon. Two grand of soup would do quite a number on any mattress.
