Home player sat on a stool, usually wireless but when the Xvive needs charging a definite dangler.

Strap wrapper, too clumsy to risk anything else.
Imagine something sharp and witty here ......

Those aren’t “cable shouldnt go through strap situations”, just “you need a different cable” situations

More like someone wanking using Tiger Balm as lube.

No idea what that means. I’d need to see photos.

I play at home in my socks and sliders with my strap dangling.

Not so much the tiger balm thing.

I've been a wrapper ever since I discovered that it looked cooler than dangling away.

I also prefer to use the amp handle - top or side - to loop it through at the amp end as well, for the same reason, even if it's coming from a pedalboard.
    And me, and all.
And me - it seems to help stop the leads taking all the "bendy cable" strain at the plug ends, too.
I remember seeing Thin Lizzy at the Milton Keynes bowl back in the day. Snowy Whites transmitter failed so they put him on a lead. Unfortunately he forgot and when the boys did the jump over the monitors thing his Marshall Stack came with him!

Right cables, they just need to swap them over.

I would have thought that everyone who plays live would go the wrap route - though I'm not certain where I picked this up from exactly. I imagine it was from seeing bands live before I started playing but I really don't know.

However having seen the photos maybe BB never had an issue of a trodden-on cable - having said that I don't think he was the most energetic performer.

I often use a straight plug in my Jazzmaster because the wang bar was quite loose in the collar (it's an older guitar from the 80s) and it would fall back against the plug and be easy to grab when required. (I have since put a very thin tape on the bar and it generally stays where it is left now so use a 90 degree cable if I grab it first)

BB didn't seem to worry about it..

Unlikely to damage the guitar - those pancake plugs have almost no cable retention, so the cable will just rip out of it before it damages the top. Still not ideal, but I don't think BB was renowned for his vigorous stage movements so it probably didn't matter that much.

Those are absolutely fine to loop through the strap. In fact, the Strat one is heading in the right direction already.

Strap wrapper. However, if you use a Heistercamp Catalyst strap it has a dedicated cable loop built into the strap end for this very purpose.
