    prices are great but how would one get a LP back home from Europe WITHOUT all the tax costs that would make the transaction not worthwhile?

    No tax on UK purchases from EU countries so purchases from GregsGuitars, like Thomann, don't incur any additional tax on the buyer. Imports from the US, for example, are covered by a different tax treaty so incur import taxes.

    Ye, that's right.

    You only get hit with import taxes when you order from countries outside the EU (e.g. USA & Japan).

    GregsGuitars is an interesting indicator of what his particular customers want. For example his prices on Les Pauls can be very good but his prices on 335s seem to be disproportionately high compared to the UK. But you have to be quick - his bargains are snapped up.

    nah nothin' Bro.......ALL the LPs everywhere appear to be selling at too high a price,including mine ..,,,,,but I can afford to sit on it until some cat buys it

    I'm trying to buy a Historic.........last year the 58s were going for around 2k, this year they have went through the roof ( yup I am aware of Gibsons increases)

    nothing is selling unless it's a flat out bargain

    New Kings Road have a 58 on sale and I swear they've put the price up this week by £450 on eBay but smaller increase on their website. Either they know fantastic economic news is coming or they're expecting to be negotiated down in price so they've pre-loaded a discount :)
