If you're genuinely interested, have a listen to some of this.

"Take these three items, some WD-40, a vise grip, and a roll of duct tape. Any man worth his salt can fix almost any problem with this stuff alone." - Walt Kowalski

"Only two things are infinite - the universe, and human stupidity. And I'm not sure about the universe." - Albert Einstein

  • L7 sampled Yoko’s caterwauling to great effect on Wargasm, along with one of the greatest guitar riffs known to humanity

No Yoko content, but I've got the album Diamanda Galas did with John Paul Jones in the 1990s.  She's screechy as hell, but at least the music is good, unlike that awful plodding rubbish on those Lennon tracks.

  • I don’t know what to say. I saw the Yoko art gallery “voice piece for soprano…” thing years ago. Thought it was funny. My 7yo makes some weird noises when she’s being an idiot, sounds like Yoko. So I showed her. Now we call her Yoko Ono when she’s making stupid noises. She thinks it’s hilarious. I’ve thought about outing her as an impersonator for extra $$$

I wonder if she'd consider doing an album of covers with Bill Shatner?

I'd love to hear her scream the original Trek theme.

Yoko was proof of two things.

    1. You can get away with any old shit if you call it art.
    2. Not enough people said "no" to John Lennon.

That's like going to a church wedding or carol service and listening to the person next to you trying to sing a hymn they don't know.

It's just expression chaps, some like Constable, some like Jackson Pollock, both art and both as valid as each other.

As much as I hate to derail an otherwise-entertaining thread, Toto's "Africa" was already not great to begin with... :D

It's the curse... everyone knows Toto for "Africa", like everyone knows Aerosmith for "I Don't Want to Miss A Thing".

They have a lot of good stuff too... "Hold the Line", "Rosanna"... I found their last album "XV" thoroughly enjoyable!

Wonder what they'll call their next one
