Probably we've ascertained he has a cupboard for his toaster, kettle and microwave, so he probably puts his nuts away too.

The OP still hasn't clariffied the question. Proper toasters (eg Dualit) have a decent sized and easy to empty crumb trays. Of course decent fresh bread, cut with a decent sharp bread knife doesn't leave many crumbs. I'm off for more toast!
