NAD: Marshall beauty

Now I know @ICBM of this parish will tell me about the terrifying prospect of servicing these, that my house is in danger of spontaneously combusting, that ribbons cables are the design of Satan himself and so on, but genuinely one of Marshall's finest tone machines, especially in the EL34 version with the original brass ware on it.

I scored this for a silly cheap price and it'll do almost anything Marshall in one small box.

With my Deluxe Reverb in Stereo it'll be instant Moving Pictures tones.

Not only sounds great, but denser than a small neutron star. Used to have a none-brass combo in blue tolex. Miss it.

and I’m sure Satriani used one and even Carcass used one blended with other amps I believe. Incredibly versatile, but tales of them breaking down or catching fire put me off ever having one

Is that the one from GG? Was tempted but I don’t need another heavy amp - and as @ICBM has retired I’d be too nervous to buy it

It arrived.

It is obviously made from pure lead as it makes a JBL loaded twin seem like balsa wood.

I've had 3, Marshall 6101 30th's. One of my favourite amps and it's not just me, Joe Satriani says the clean channel on this amp is his favourite clean channel so must be good!
