So I've had this a couple of weeks now.  Bought it off a really nice guy on  Ebay and drove to a half way point between us to pick it up.
I've had a glaring hole in my guitar collection for some time , what with not having a P90 equipped guitar.  I felt I was probably missing out on some different tones.
It's a Grainger Attis and the build quality is simply outstanding.  It plays really nice, sounds really nice and looks stunning in person too.   Neck is perfection and the fretwork supered.  I've never been a natural fan of gold tops, but this does look nice to be fair. It's got Bareknuckle old guard P90's in it.  The neck pickup is lovely and warm sounding, but I initially found the bridge pickup very trebly and a bit harsh.  I realised then that the tone control is important for this and sure enough it's making some of the finest tones I can imagine.    A good array of great tones to be had, so I was missing out after all, just had to learn how to use P90's was all.
I've got a healthy guitar collection of some  high end  instruments, but this one has the longest natural sustain of anything I have for some reason, which surprises me a little with it being a bolt on neck.  It's also the most stable for tuning .  I put a new set of NYXL 10-46 on it straight away and it hasn't budged since, despite me playing the hell out of for the last couple of weeks.  It's got Hipshot locking tuners, but I was a little sceptical about the bar across the strings on the headstock, but turns out it works without causing any issue at all.  The bridge is of Graingers own making and it's a very well made thing.  Perfectly machined and looks like a fairly heavy affair, which probably contributes to that magic sustain.
All in all, I'm pretty damn pleased with it.

I seem to have done something wrong with the images unfortunately.  I'll see if I can work out how to get it to work.

Thanks folks.  My taste in guitars is usually such that the kind of thing I tend to like, no one else seems to.  So I'm pleasantly surprised how many like it too.  It's right up my street on the quality but weird scale

Same. I'm loving the grain on the fingerboard too. Very nice!

If you find the bridge/Treble position a bit too edgy, consider changing the bar magnets to a different formulation. e.g. Alnico 5 to Alnico 4 or 2. If you want more output but a smoother tone, consider A8.

    Interesting.  What's A8?
I can live with the tone control thing, as the middle position works well, but I can defo see the point in the tone control just for the bridge.  The neck just don't need it much.  It even does a lovely joe pass without tone control.  It's just the bridge that's bright.
I'm assuming that this is common with all P90's and that's why you have a solution for it?

A8 is Alnico 8. It possesses a stronger magnetic field than A5 together with a less "scooped" tone.

A simpler solution would be to adjust the polepiece screws and overall height of the bridge pickup.

I'd leave it for a while. If it still bugs you in a fortnight, then, consider adjusting things.

Amazed I've never heard of Alnico 8 before!  Wow's.  Thanks for that.  Learned something new today.

Absolutely not my kind of guitar, but it looks very well made and I'm happy for it to be out there for others who have greater diversity in their taste than me!
