Well, that is lovely.  But two frets and one photo is too much risk for me.
I can vouch for Jim. Superb chap and honest. Lovely to see this guitar again,

Looking to sell this lovely La Cabronita finished by Scott Cameron (now Golden Era Guitars).

This was a commissioned build and is, I think, one of only two that Scott completed in this finish (the other being sold to a big time US guitar player)
This is so Uber cool, words don't quite live up to how awesome it looks. I can't believe how tempting I'm finding it, although it's not a genuine interest as my budget doesn't quite stretch.

However, I do have a genuine question (out of curiosity)...

Reference to 'finished by Scott' and it being 'a commissioned build... ...that Scott completed' is a bit ambiguous about the source of the parts - is this essentially a parts guitar assembled and finished by SC (not that there's anything wrong with that) or are they built from scratch by SC?

    Hi Jim,

Some lovely guitars you have! Can I ask the difference - if any - in feel/playability between the "Paisley" with the Mastery bridge and this lovely with the more traditional bridge?

Cheers and - not that you'll need it - good luck :+1:

No problem, I think @GoldenEraGuitars himself would be able to give you a definitive answer to the source of the parts.  AFAIK the body is maybe Allparts or a Guitar Build body, can't be sure on the source of the neck but I  know it's a custom carve. Scott did the finishing work on both and the whole thing was assembled by a luthier local to him in NI.  Again, Scott can tell you more perhaps.

The Paisley has a lower action overall than this one with Duesenberg trem.  Both have rock solid return to tuning after using the trem,  Overall intonation with the Paisley is probably better because of the Mastery bridge and the additional tweakability.

Neck is a Warmoth boatneck on the Dynasonic here, which I probably prefer if i were pushed to say, though the biggest difference for me are the pickups, I'm a single coils guy at heart, and the Dynas are my favourite pickups.

Don't get me wrong the TV Jones Filtertrons are amazing, I just prefer Dynas overall.  My first proper steps towards that realisation were with a Dearmond M75t which I stupidly sold around 14 years ago.

Nothing wrong with that question - I’ve always been open and transparent from day one that I don’t build any parts from raw materials. I’m very happy about my honesty compared to others in the business who don’t even build their own parts let alone spray them ;) I’m still uneasy about being classed as a “builder”, I actually don’t know what category I fall into.

I’d not be able to tell you much about the neck without finding the paperwork which is buried somewhere. Body was a custom order from GuitarBuild. I finished this Cabronita around the same time I did John Shank’s one which he ordered when Bon Jovi was touring Ireland and the uk :)

Interesting! Thanks Jim! Do you go with 500k pots for the dynas?

@lovestrat74 yeah I’ve got 500k pots in the tele at Dim’s suggestion.  I tell you what though I’ve the mid 50s Gretsch stacked 500k/250k tone pot in it and it really opens up the possibilities, loads of tonal options.

Thanks Scott, that's helpful to understand, and nothing wrong at all with applying your talent to parts supplied by other specialists - I gather that Guitar build base some of their spec/designs on designs supplied by 'Over the Pond Guy' which should be good enough for anyone's demands!
