Playing in July in the most perfect venue, at the end of what looks like their best tour yet. Presale on Thursday, regular sale on Friday. 

I’ll be coming home if i can get tickets…

I saw them supporting the Stones at Hyde Park and it really wasn't a great gig. That kind of venue just doesn't work for that kind of band. Phoebe Bridger was also there, who I also love and it was just lost on the crowd who I don't think she could really connect with.

But the Royal Albert Hall is perfect for them, you're right.

Not as much as WOD, but I  don’t dislike him. 

I’m just dying to see WOD if I possibly can…

Yeah.. I took a punt that the RAH Patrons list and the War on Drugs mega fans have a very slim crossover, so spent an extra £50 to get on today’s presale. Considering I’ll have to fly from Abu Dhabi that’s not too much extra cost really! 

It is possible my wife won’t be able to come, in which case I’ll offer the other ticket on here!

Got tickets for Liverpool, in the students union I used to frequent. Not quite RAH but I’ll be seeing a band I love for the first time, can’t wait.

I live two hours from Liverpool… close enough to drive there and back for a gig, which I’ve done a few times. 

If I  also manage to get a Pearl Jam ticket it be a hell of a couple of weeks…. two dream gigs

OMG I just got tickets to see them coheadline in New York with The National in September. 

I’m going to have to book the rest of the holiday now..!!

I got tickets for the RAH in the end... second night. Will be an excellent venue for them I think.

Re sad dads oh yes 100%. Only adding Bon Iver could improve it. 

Re venue - yeah I think so. Have you seen their current tour lighting? It looks exceptional. And with Eliza adding various keys guitars & harmonies they sound better than ever. 

I already have t-shirts from both bands but may have to buy more

Saw them when they did the O2 last year, which I mostly hate as a venue but I was so desperate to see the band I did it anyway. The lighting was excellent indeed! The sonics ought to be much better at the RAH…

I hope so. I’ve been there a few times but never for a proper rock gig. 

My first ever concert was actually John Denver at RAH in about 1993 - pretty much the start of the whole guitar thing for me tbh!

Oh cool! That would be great. I’ve seen quite a few rock shows there - rhe last one was Death Cab For Cutie - and it’s usually great. Since they refurbished it the acoustics are MUCH better.

I'm booking my flight literally right now. CANNOT WAIT for Friday. Also gonna grab a cheeky ticket for the Killers at the O2. Dave Keuning is back with them for this run and it's greatest hits a-go-go.
