Well….. that was a magnificent gig at Liverpool Uni. One of the best I’ve seen. What a band. They played a few off Slave Ambient, which I’ve only recently started listening to… and a Tom Petty cover, Love is a Long Road. Venue was good with excellent sound quality, could hear everything without it being deafening, and I was near the front. Still buzzing…. crowd was great… lots of euphoria!

I enjoyed the support band, Somebody’s Child…. the Irish TWOD?

You’re in for a treat at the RAH

I flippin' LOVE "Love Is A Long Road", desperately hoping it's still on the setlist on Friday... can totally hear how they could pull that one off, perfect blend of guitars/synths etc for them...

    Would love to see them.

Interesting they’ve played Love Is A Long Road after it had a bit of a resurgence recently from being on the GTA trailer.

They've done a couple of good Tom Petty covers in the last. Time To Move On being one of them.

Yeah, I wasn’t familiar with the song but it sounded great, the heaviest rockiest song of the night. He’s said something about Billy Duffy before they played it, I thought it might be a The Cult cover…but  he was referring to his White Falcon.

Guitars: he used a white Strat the most, then Jazzmaster. White Falcon for a couple, including the Tom Petty cover. He keeps his guitar tech busy!

The backing vocals by Eliza add a lot to the sound.

After Under the Pressure, my highlight were Red Eyes and Harmonia’s Dream.

Still reflecting how bloody awesome they were.

Wiz for Eliza - from YouTube alone she’s been a great addition.

I’m super excited now. I also booked a tour of the Albert Hall in the afternoon which should be ace.

I’m really hoping for Occasional Rain, In Chains and In Reverse, and I’m well aware we’re unlikely to get more than 1 of those, but we’ll see.

As long as I get Under the Pressure, Harmonia and the almighty solo in Strangest Thing I’ll be extremely happy I’m sure

Well that was unbelievably amazing. I’ve seen Gilmour play Comfortably Numb 4 times at the RAH and I’d take the memory of tonight’s version of Under The Pressure over any of those. Incredible.

Love Is A Long Road did not disappoint either!! Heavy af! Only song Adam played a Les Paul on. :D

Think I saw you jumping up and down @stickyfiddle. Some sublime moments in that gig tonight. The white Gretch sounded pretty good tonight @Whitecat.

Agreed - my favourite guitar of the night from a tone standpoint! My favourite at the O2 when they were last through town was the SG Junior, but he didn’t break that one out tonight.

Great pics @stickyfiddle it looks mindblowingly good.

You got Ocean too, which they didn’t play at Liverpool.

I suspect they won’t be back for a while until they have a new album. When they do return I will be making sure I see them again. Seeing them has concreted them as my favourite current band. What a band and what a guitarist
