Can't you find one in a natural finish, with a stop tail?
    Heresy on a 355!

I did spot a Rusty Anderson sig 335 (plus a bunch of Trini Lopez models in various colours and states-of-bigsby) but didn’t like that as much
I've only played one Rusty 335 and it was very nice - Assume all TL models have the tapered nut width which doesn't feel right to me - If so a TL is not for me - I think if it wasn't' for Noel playing one, there would be no buzz about them anyway
The TLs do not, thankfully! I bought the VOS ‘64 one a few weeks back and it has a fabulously ‘normal’ neck - the CS must’ve seen the sense to not reproduce that horrid 40/41mm nut width!

p.s. most of the TL buzz has always come from Mr. Grohl in my experience, I barely associate Noel with them at all.

Thanks for the update and yes I forgot about D  Grohl’s interest in Lopez models - The narrow nut width commenced around 1965 so a 64 replica should be 43mm-ish

If it were my money, my choice. I’d be taking the Red one home.

Don’t like the guard on either, but red looks marginally nicer of these two

Buy the black one. Coz Keef innit? And you say it plays better.

But the black one really is perfect as a player, and just needs scuffing up bit to not look brand new
Is that encouraged or natural scuffing? How would you encourage* it?

Of those two colours red, but if was me I'd hold out for a non-Bigsby version in a colour I liked better.  I'm another who'd probably put a Rusty Anderson type natural at the top of the list, but there are other colours like a Carlton type sunburst I'd prefer to red. I realise that puts me in a minority.

All a bit academic because taking looks out of the equation I prefer the smaller format Gibson semis like 336/339 etc and would never buy a 335. And ironically I think the smaller ones suit being red better - the 335s are just too big an expanse of garish red.

I have gassed. And I’m happy I made the right decision.

Pics when I get home, which may be late tomorrow because our flight is delayed and they don’t know for how long…!

Also, all guitar shops should offer straps and mirrors as standard…

Honestly it was bloody awesome, but wayyy more money, and a bit tatty despite the price. Not to mention the size of a barn door!

I’m now very keen to grab a Firebird T and chuck a maestro on it though….

The only guitar - or at least Gibson - which can make a 355 seem short :).

Also seems to be missing one pickup.

Well, at least now you know what colour to get the 335 resprayed in.

I did see one blue Trini López with a bigsby. Lovely vibe but I don’t get on with string feel when you combine the big headstock with bigsby

Black and leave it alone  :)
personally I think its real pretty in black and the tortoise pickgaurd gives it a little bit of a unique twist. I normally hate tortoise shell but on that I think its great.
