Am I being fickle here?

I had a guy come over to try a Strat. Mid 50s, long hair. Came with his partner/friend/girlfriend, short hair, similar age.

Strummed the Strat for 30 seconds. Loved it.

Spent the next hour+ telling me about all the bands he was in, "fun" stories about a bass he owned, blah blah blah, while my wife had to sit and chat with his partner in the next room. Didn't play the guitar once in that time, just rested both hands on the top.

I was stood up throughout, as he was sat in my office chair.

After that hour+ he strummed it one last time, bank transferred the full amount, drank the coffee I'd made him (ironically complained that it was now cold) and I eventually ushered them out of the door, which also probably took a good 5 minutes!

Perfectly lovely guy but Mrs Pieman and I both had a seriously exhausted collective sigh when he left.

I live in such a rough area, folks usually leave me an extra ten spot on top of asking price,  just to fk off as quick as possible :-/
