Who are the go-to wiring loom suppliers on here these days?

I’ve got a Les Paul special p90 tribute with a circuit board and 300k volume pots in it at the moment, pickups are a bit lacking in sparkle even with treble bypass wotsits and rolling back the volume etc, so before I fire up the Ash Signal for a pair of Firewatches or Jin-Gos I’d like to try a new loom with some decent pots with 500k volume and 50’s wiring.

Any happy campers care to share a recommendation?

Bloodstone Guitarworks made a rock solid strat loom for me, with matched pots and a decent switch. I am going to order another one for my Les Paul. David has infinite patience.

I bought a Six Strings Supplies loom for my Casino and wasn't impressed. The controls don't have an even/useful sweep unfortunately

I got one for a Telecaster from Six String Supplies and it works very well. Only used them the once but I was happy with it.

+1 for this. Had a custom loom made for a Fender Mustang that added a series position on the switch. Flawless work.

Yes, mine had a number of tweaks too: bridge and neck in series, neck add, treble bleed, tone control for the bridge... and all things considered, not too expensive. I also ordered a set of custom made strat pickups – I thought the results were jaw dropping, got exactly what I was after.

I have bought from Ed before (Six Strings Supplies) and his work and products were top notch also his customer service is impeccable, just so you have another opinion.

    Bloodstone Guitarworks is also great.

I honestly can not justify £80 for Stratocaster wiring looms.

Yep, that's why I bought a soldering iron. That said, Bloodstone's pricing looks great.

Yeah, I like soldering and I'd rather do it myself, but I haven't done any for a long time.  I might consider shelling out for a pre-made wiring loom if I needed one now.

    I've had a few from @Alegreehttps://www.alegree.co.uk/collections/wiring-harnesses-and-kits ;

Really nice quality and good pricing too. I've had more expensive ones in the past and these are every bit as good.

Edit: forgot to add, he did me a custom one for a VVVT 3 humbucker Les Paul and from memory there wasn't a price increase (or it was small enough i've forgotten about it). Been very happy with it.

Honestly, I don't know how much profit he's making off his looms. Between the price of the quality parts he uses and the time involved in matching the pots, putting everything together and, most importantly, dealing with customers' wacky demands by email...

I've been meaning to have a go at doing a wiring loom for my chinese Tokai l.p custom, where do you get the best deal for pots/ wiring/capacitors,
I don't want to buy a cheap kit and find only a slight improvement and if i go into the £70+++ area then i might as well get a one already made which defeats the point.

I got one of those a couple of years ago, along with a set of Old Timers. The pickguard is a bit flimsy and the pots look and feel less 'heavy duty'  than the ones David uses. That said, it was a decent upgrade for a Squier.

I always use James home of tone.
Expensive,  but worth it to me

I too have James's Home of Tone harnesses in my strat and tele. Work is good, parts are quality. Plus his comms are good (always an important thing!)
