Ibanez do a bunch too. The AZ comes to mind
Then you have things like Strandberg or Kiesel which offer some which don't scream "metal" to me.
Could always put a scratchplate on it.
Personally I'd concentrate on the neck shape more than the looks. The different approaches are just as wide ranging as any other guitar. Even with Ibby the RG 7 neck shape is very different to the AZ neck shape.
I bought the cheapest RG7 hard tail to see if I could get on with a 7 and I can, but the narrower neck of the AZ would be better for me. If I ever decide to spend some proper money on one.
