Okay... I need to sort my board out...

I absolutely need to sort my board out... It's good, but it isn't GREAT... and it's limiting me. I also really need post-amp effects in the loop as well for some songs. I think my setup is about to get a fair amount bigger. *gulp*
Think I will loan the M9 to our bassist, and go back to singles. But um... some... *cough* pricey ones.... once my Axe FX sells, I see some Strymon potentials....

hahahaha. I would use a GT-100 solely if it wasn't for that damn tap tempo stuff!

Now I have one with V2 firmware is there anything you want me to try?

Well I suppose you could try this, although I think I know the answer...

For each algorithm of the delay block, do the following:

    1. Assign delay time to a note value.
    2. Assign tap tempo to a switch.
    3. Set feedback to 70%
    4. Set Mix to 50%
    5. Hit a chord, and during the entire duration of the chord, tap the tempo in quarter notes consistently.
    6. Record the output, throw on soundcloud.

Do the same for the FX1 and FX2 sub-delay blocks :)

Basically... when I had it, I got glitchy artifacts all over the place, and pitchy artifacts on a few modes too. It didn't match the DD7 at all.

Cool I'll try and find some time to do that.

Might be a few days as I'm all up in the air due to impending sprog.

    man....and I thought i was indecisive about gear!!!!  ;)

you need some EQD in your life...maybe not for delay because you like your full featured stuff, but for other effects, EQD have a sound all their own.

what type of effects are you looking at buying?

Nah, I don't care about that. I make a decent wage and have some spare cash to fritter away on stuff once my Axe FX II gets sold at the end of the week.

Keep an eye out the classified soon as I'm in need of a massive clear out. No strymon I'm afraid but some decent brands. I could always put the price up to make them even more booteeek and collectable if that would help ;)
So far it's looking like these will be going:

Arc Effects - Big Green Pi
EQD - Ghost Echo (provisionally sold)
    EQD - Hoof
    EQD - Tone Reaper
    Greer - Batch O Ass
    JHS - Double Barrel
    KO Amps - PLL Fuzz
    Love Pedal - Les Lius
    Malekko - Analog Fuzz
    Mesa Boogie - V Twin
    MXR - Carbon Copy
    Pedal Monsters - Galaxy Verb
    Pedal Monsters - Klone
    Rocktron - BlackJack
    Swart - Atomic Boost

I guess you're gonna want stuff that can store presets? In which case I imagine a Timeline and Bigsky would be a start? Then a Warped Vinyl and Womb Tone and a couple of expression pedals. May as well get a Palisades too whilst you're at it.

Is there any way you could get a Boss GT 001 (assuming same functionality as the 100 but small), one/two MIDI delays, and switch it with your FCB1010?
0reaction image LOL 0reaction image Wow! 0reaction image Wisdom
  • Hmm the 001 doesn't have proper midi jacks on it, just USB.

so for the phaser slow/fast...i recently got an EQD Grand Orbiter...original big box one, and its the best phaser i have ever had.

it has a toggle switch to go between fast and slow...i'm sure you could get that modded to a footswich for that toggle...and the older big box version are big enough for 2 footswitches.

  • The keeley phaser has a slow fast toggle too.

If I was buying a phaser I would go for the empress in the classifieds (not mine)
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.
