I'm curious how the NFL will react to this on their social media.  He had a great career after all, as far as they're concerned.  .

I always found it interesting that the majority of black folk thought him innocent and the majority of white folk thought he was guilty!

I worked in a dealing room in NYC at the time . Most dealers were white guys , most kitchen and services staff were black guys / women .

When the verdict was about to be announced dealing pretty much ground to a halt and loads of the non trading staff came into the dealing room to watch the announcement on the big TV screens.

It was a surreal moment when the verdict came as the split between black and white was so pronounced . One half of the room cheered and high fived as they felt he’d been framed and the rest of the room were swearing at the TV. It got quite nasty between a few people IIRC

There was a lawyer interviewed on the BBC news last night who was part of the original defence team, who said - presumably safely now - that he thought Simpson was probably both framed *and* guilty, which is what I've always thought too. The police clearly fabricated some of the evidence, and that may be why the jury chose to acquit him rather than because they believed he was innocent.

I didn't follow that case closely so pardon the ignorance, but how could he have been both framed and guilty?  As in, he did commit the crime, but the police fabricated some evidence to help the case along?
