Opinions on Laney VC50 amps?

I'm liking the tayden great brit/high brit combo with my GH50L, but how close the vc50 is to it, I'm not sure. The rumour is that the gh50 is the single channel version of the vh100r (and that the vc50 is the combo version of the vh100r), but whether those rumours are accurate, I dunno. I'm sure I read recently on a thread here that the VC50 wasn't actually that close to the VH100R...

I had Celestion G12K-100s fitted to the last VC50 I had which were great. A wide frequency range and really handled the sheer power of the amp.
