Wow, a conspiracy is going around that it's a sign of the end times because if you mirror it, there is a sort of weird shape in the redness.

Sigh. 

I quite like it, but I don't know much about the royal family tbh.

Ignoring all the red/pink stuff, just look at the face - I think it's a brilliant capture of him.  It's a smile, but there's a sadness about it too.

Yep.. it's got all the right colours, but not necessarily in the right order..

My interpretation is the red represents the establishment, hence the uniform blends in to it, as it is part of it. But he stands out in the painting, suggesting he is a man in his own right, and his role in the establishment is not all he is.

Photos, that you simply acknowledge have replaced the traditional artist’s capture for over a century anyway. This is past the simple image and it’s certainly interrupted people and engaged them, which is about all you can hope for with these days of endless banal imagery and AI & filtered fauxness.  A human tried to be different. Risky.

I like the Charles portrait a lot. The more you look at it the more depth and detail you see in it and the better it seems, which to me is one of the things a good artist does. The butterfly is possibly a tiny bit distracting.

Art doesn't stand still, and it shouldn't look like an old painting.

I like the picture but I assumed it was painted by a piss-artist.
