90s You Don't Love Me (No, No,No) by Dawn Penn

    Technically 60s
The nineties hit was a reworking of a song she originally recorded in 1967. It was recorded and was a hit in the nineties although yes written in the sixties.

This will probably change in 5 mins…. But off the top of my head -

    60s - Velvet Underground - All Tomorrow’s Parties
70s - The Only Ones - Another Girl Another Planet
80s - Your Silent Face - New Order
    90s - Spiritualized - I think I’m in Love

    I'll go for the following

60s  - probably gotta be a Beatles song for me, Day in the Life maybe?
70s - Northern Sky, Nick Drake
80s - difficult one as I don't really like 80s music to be honest. Struggling to think of any I love, can do a few I like but not sure I like them enough to be favourite. I'll go for Under the Milky Way by The Church
    90s - Grace, Jeff Buckley

Was there no music in 00s, 10s and 20s?

My friend just wrote this about it
…at some length! What a complicated history, amazing. Never picked on the link with The Specials’ Ten Commandments, a song hated by a lot of fans although musically it was the direction of the album that was never made due to covid and then ultimately Terry’s death.
Thank you for that, I shall try to have a listen to the various versions.

Was there no music in 00s, 10s and 20s?
There was, but I suppose the difference is that it's a struggle to get them down to one for 60-90, but a struggle to find even one for 00-20

Not even going to try, really liking some of the choices from the 60’s coming up, especially the non mainstream ones, thought it would be all Beatles Stones and Dylan. Think I’m going to go for Barron Knights Call up the groups for the 60’s though as a good catch all!

Haha I see what you mean, but I was the same for the 80s. In fact I don't think I'd have even got into liking music if I'd been around then!
