Not acoustic, but could be. I'm wallowing in the four Warpaint albums at the moment. My favourite rhythm section for feel - with a great Aussie drummer, Tannin! :-)

    I’ll echo the Lage love.

I’m not a jazz guy by any definition but he’s really reallly good

Been loving on Zach Bryan recently, American Heartbreak is very very long but there is something that hooks me and I can listen to it in one stretch. Like Isbell - great story teller. Just listening to his new album which is more of the same but he does it so well

Just to follow on from the Lage love-in, his missus - Margaret Glaspy - is spectacular as well.

Brilliant songwriter, great little guitar player and a phenomenal voice. Echo The Diamond is her latest and it's a gorgeous record full of vintage Tele Deluxe action.

Yeh, Bryan is killing it. I avoided listening to him for years because he was so popular amongst my teenage redneck cousins, so I was expecting him to sound more Morgan Wallen-esque, but turns out he's just really good..

I love all sorts of music but John Bramwell of I Am Kloot is always at the fore for me, especially the early stuff.

Take a listen to Tom Heyman. Was touring UK this summer and son #2 went to see him. Brought back album 24th Street Blues for me. Listened to it a lot since. Really grows on you. Acoustic blues/ great voice. Love it.

Whenever I need to be inspired I watch the late Tom Wolk in Daryl Halls house band.
He seems not to be limited on what can and cannot be played on an acoustic guitar either solo or as part of an ensemble.

Always Isbell, but seeing as someone else has already called him out I'll mention my second most played artist of the month, if not the year, Sierra Ferrell... Fiddler, guitarist, killer singer. The total package.

I've gone down a Sierra Ferrell rabbit hole since I read this so thank you! She's amazing!

Surfing YouTube and stumbled on this. This young guy just blew me away - the kind where you think 'why do I bother'!
Stick with it for a couple of minutes, see what you think.

I'd have a cream tea with Clive Carroll. That's not a euphemism.
