Daniels new Gravitas model, firebird inspired

Hi thought I'd share my new offset Gravitas model, this one is built like a reverse firebird with 9 ply laminate through neck, this one weighs 7.8lbs and balances perfect on a strap or seated.
The Mojo firebird pickups are spectacular to my ears, hipshot locking tuners, faber abr1 and stoptail, cts pots, switchcraft switch and jack.
The idea with this one is to use this shape as a base for different woods, hardware and pickups, the next ones are set necks.
Hopefully it'll get a review in Guitarist mag next then full pro pics and demos.

Looks superb and I’ve no doubt it sounds great too …I like the mix of offset and firebird…and it looks like a guitar that came from the 50’s / 60’s

Thanks I'm very pleased with it but it's different to my pugilist which is my go to, probably because I designed it to be a LP in an offset style.

This model will suit being a bass and baritone plus bigger pickups or a bigsby, my pugilist suits having a cleaner look or that's how I see it.

I'll be at the Brighton guitar show this Saturday which is great for getting feedback from people.

Fingerboard is rosewood? I have a guitar with a board that's similar to that but the grain is more extreme and I've never been fully sure what it is.

This fretboard is cocobolo, I also use Madagascan for alot of builds.

It's in the blurb but 7.8 lbs, next ones will be lighter hopefully, I do have set neck versions planned with lightweight woods.

Thanks Mark, glad you like it, I like it alot, I loved the firebird 1 I made but they're just too big so I sorted that problem for me, hope it catches on.

That’s lovely.
Can I suggest an addition? A vibrola (long body) would look absolutely amazing on there.
