    You BASTARD!!!!

When they find my emaciated skeleton slumped on the sofa with a pair of headphones on I hope you feel guilty.

I'd actually been thinking about creating a site like this. It's such a brilliant idea.

  • This site is no good for Gassage.  These are clearly the pedals purchased by mere mortals.... none of these are going to make his board are they???!

  • great site, great idea.

I only lasted about minutes though. I am content with my lot though :-)
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

I'm not predicting the end of the classified FX section anytime soon......once they get more brands on there, more will arise!

Great idea and seems well implemented.

Well there are always going to be variables, and correspondingly there'll be arguments, but I have to say that works very well. Comparing the half-dozen or so pedals which I own gives a pretty good flavour of the relative differences.

    Nice one.

  • I'm not going to even look - at 50 you don't know how long you've got left....

  • Oh thank god.

    It's not mobile friendly.

  • Great idea!! Mind you, listening to the clips of the pedals I actually own - it doesn't sound much like them - that's probably due to the settings - but you might write a pedal off based on the settings these clips were recorded with even though the controls can get you a sound that you may love...

Being a single coil player, mostly neck pick-up, I have to say the Strat demo of the Emma Stinkbug made me sit up and take notice.
I was also suprised how good the Rat sounded too.

Never heards of the Stinkbug before but it sounds bloody gorgeous.

The blind test bit is excellent.

It would be even better if you could ask it to randomly pick 5 pedals and play them blind and remove the ones you don't like and replace with another random choice.

Proper blind shootout when you don't even know what was picked at the beginning.

I've used the Emma Reezafratzitz for my main gain for years and can't recommend them enough.  Great sounding pedals

Funny danish names too... what's not to love eh!

Wow, I might actually write to them and ask them if they can put that feature on!

this is great! I cant see my self buying a pedal because of it. But its fantastic at narrowing the selection down.

What would be cool is if you could actually play around with the settings yourself to get the sound you want out of the pedals. For people that play music thats not on the usual spectrum, this can be useful for working out the general characteristics of a pedal, but doesnt help with specific applications.

I guess, though in that scenario, it may have to be a digital modeller version of the pedal rather than the actual pedal itself...

But still...awesome site...needs to be an app...any developers on the fretboard want to go into business????
