I thought it was pretty poor. Typical BBC music documentary - they even managed to squeeze in the punk vs prog myth that the beeb always tries to shoehorn into music coverage of the era.

Some nice footage, nice to see some Lizzy and Jim himself. But it was a pretty light piece with too much screen time for people who didn't matter.

To be fair I think it started well, but the second half wasn't any good.

I was glad to see the Beeb avoid making the usual mistake of putting 'Whitesnake & Possibly Chappers' Dad' under Bernie Marsden's name.

I quite liked it and, cos of my almost biblical ignorance of all things loud, I learnt a fair bit from it. And I've been to the marshall factory (I always find it strange that the most boring town in the universe is the home of loud).

I met Bernie about 2 weeks back when he was touring with Joan Shaw Taylor. Such a lovely man. 

He gave me his guitar pick  and signed my LP certificate.

It was as I expected, the history of Marshall. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
