Interesting stuff, the store that was in Manchester for a while had the worst staff I have ever encountered, loads of over priced guitars in there. The store in leeds sold my mates wife a Korean Tokai Love rock for £500, ouch.........Weren't they knocking out fake vintage Hiwatts too?

So, in what was Andy's, there is a Hiwatt DR504 that they claim is a museum piece. It's said to be 1972 and they've priced it at 1999.

1) It's as old as yesterday's paper
2) It's as original as X Factor
3) It doesn't have the right transformers

Playing dumb I questioned the salesperson and he told me that 'Partridges weren't used that year' and this had definate provenance...blah blah

It was as fake as Jordan's tits.

Bought a guitar from them (sold as a JV strat) turned out it was fake. I had no idea it was fake untill the guy I sold it on to informed me that it was (sent me pictures and info on JV's and he was right). I swore never to deal with them ever again and all I could do to the buyer was refund him, apologize and tell him that music ground sold it to me as legit. Utter bastards

Watching it now, I think the biggest concern I'd have had about the red Telecaster is that is apparently kept spontaneously sprouting a Bigsby when being examined. )
