    In no particular order:

Forty Deuce - Nothing to Lose
    Trouble - Manic Frustration
    Anthrax - Stomp 442
Tesla - The Great Radio Controversy
Def Leppard - High 'n' Dry
    Kick Axe - Vices
    Y&T - Earthshaker
Backyard Babies - Making Enemies is Good
    Shotgun Messiah - Second Coming
    Helmet - Meantime
Social Distortion - White Light, White Heat, White Trash

All have some quieter moments, but there is a great deal of ass-kicking going on, in different ways.

The Cult- Side 1 of Sonic Temple. The first three tracks are total killer on their own.

  • The Clash - Give 'Em Enough Rope. Who cares if producer Sandy Pearlman worked with the Blue Oyster Cult? This LP positively bursts out of the speakers unlike the first one.

+1 for Never Mind the Bollocks, Kick out the Jams & Sonic Temple.

    Mood dependant

    Metallica - Master of puppets

    Megadeth - Rust In Peace

Slayer - South of heaven/Season in the abyss

Maiden - Number of the beast/Seventh son/Somewhere in time/Powerslave/Piece of mind

Sex Pistols - Nevermind the bollocks (IMO THE punk album)

Ringleader of the Cambridge cartel, pedal champ and king of the dirt boxes (down to 21)

  • Deep Purple In Rock
    Eat 'em and Smile

I would say AFD but tbh the bass is badly recorded or at least doesn't feature in the soundscape like it should

"Working" software has only unobserved bugs. (Parroty Error: Pieces of Nine! Pieces of Nine!)
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself

The bass on AFD captures Duff's whole tone and approach really well I think. The intro from Sweet Child implies that the sound they got was the sound they wanted: it's McCartney-like really in that it's providing a bass line and a groove but it isn't just sitting underneath everything and partially eclipsed.

Appetite for me too, one of the few that's stood the test of time and can still be listened to all the way through.

    I have 5.

    No, not really.

But they are brilliant and criminally underrated.  I know it's hardcore to rate Psalm 9 or The Skull as their best albums - and they are great - but I prefer the later more melodic stuff.
