My guitars are largely standard models. But...

I do have a seafoam green 63 reissue like the one on the left. Surely cool?

    image.

Even more cool was the price - £100.

Nothing is less cool than effort. Imagine the painstaking work required to relic guitars to look like old ones, or fussily swapping pickups until you get the exact sound you'd imagined. Or combining elements of other guitars to come up with a Telemaster, or swapping the stock bridge for some intricate piece of engineering, or replacing the trem block for a brass one. Is that cool?

    This is true.

Ergo nobody on FB or anybody who inhabits any kind of guitar forum can ever be seen as "cool".

and mostly anything else that EGC makes...

Also, most guitars with Bigsby's are cool. Even if they are uncool, a Bigsby will make them cool...like this one...PRS are uncool in my books...but throw a bigsby on and its on my cool list:image

I bought it specifically to do this sort of thing in the vid. I know his is a vintage and a different model (although he has vintage 63 types as well).

Shamefully I've never learnt slide. I was going to raise the action and stick 11's on it but never got motivated. Maybe this year!

    Beck rules!
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

    That is extremely nice :)

looking through the posts I see a lot of Fender Jaguars - don't get it, not my cup of tea at all. Its the switches that ruin them for me, they look geeky. IMO
