About 45 mins - but that included dusting the bass which hadn't been touched in months, or years.

I'm surprised at how lost the bass is on my track.  It was a lot more prominent when I listened before uploading.

Yeah, next month. I was too lazy to walk upstairs from my guitar corner in the lounge to grab the wife's bass from the music room.

Depends on your speakers and the Acoustics of the room you were listening to it in. Certain speakers and room layouts may boost or reduce certain frequencies which can give a false level of the specific sounds.

Had everything ready to go for this month, now we've got someone coming into repair the roof in the kids bedroom so have had to empty it and now I can't get to much currently.  I may (just may) be able to squeeze something in as a late entry.  Some really good entries so far so.

Djent is more of a term that applies to a type of tone than a genre or 010000100010001200 type playing.
Djent is palm muted 4 note power chords in drop tunings with a 1.4k spike on the EQ. I shall demonstrate this evening with a sound cloud clip in drop D.

@Drew_fx apologies, I'm a bit shit at being happy with recordings. Decided to wait until I have my 8 (which I now do) and will try again.

I allowed myself 1 take, and just played whatever the fuck came to me as I recorded it. Its shit, i know. But its pretty much what Djent is, i think at least.
