Hello TFB, plus GAK and new guitar

Finally decided to make an account and say hi, rather than reading over my boyfriends should as I have been for the last few months.

Went down to Brighton yesterday and purchased my first guitar - Schecter Demon-8! (I know, not really a beginners guitar, but I fell in love as soon as I played it, and I can do everything on it (as well as metal).

GAK was really good, super friendly place and obviously know what they're talking about, and how to deal with nervous new players. Found it really helpful. Plus the deal they made me was amazing.

Looking forward to getting my head around this 8 string properly, and can't wait for this Blackstar ID60TVP to arrive!!

Looks like a nice buy, I like the colour, but dayum... 8 strings?! Kids t'day!

I don't think I would get on with an 8 string. I can barely play my 7 string. Post clips and a review of your amp when you get it, but put it in the right section - it's called off topic for a reason

I struggle to play 6 strings properly so i think you're brave with 8 strings, well done, looks great (and entirely confusing).

Unfortunately, I'm not that sensible pushed myself right down at the deep end I did, and I can't wait!

When you got that ID60 chugging out open the window & I'll probably be able to hear you LOL

I too have enough trouble with 6 strings so wouldn't dare go 7 let alone 8.
In fact I'm thinking of becoming seasick steve 2 & playing with just 3 or 4 strings

Anyway welcome and I'm fairly envious you can play 8 whereas I can barely get my head around 6.

I would also imagine it's great sharing a hobby congrats to you both!
