Prince has done some superb live stuff with a tele, I could never understand why he didn't just chuck out an amazing lead guitar rock album at some point.

There was talk at one time of Prince portraying Hendrix in a film, not sure what happened to that. Absolutely wonderful musician though.

That was kind of the setup with his most recent tour - much more guitar-orientated. Alas, didn't get to catch a show.

Craig McLachlan of Neighbours fame (played Kylies brother). I saw him do a cover of Hot for Teacher on TV in the late 80s. A quick YouTube search revealed this.

Talking of XTC, there's a video of an interview with Andy Partridge (fairly recent) where he suddenly flies into a load of Hendrixy blues on a Squier Tele. Impressive stuff...
