Yes, they're relatively rare, although used by Radiohead. Ryan Adams amongst others. There's some sound files on their website:
    http://www.tortenmann.de/product.php?id=tt-3.

I can't find much else, but to my ears it's the best sounding tremolo I've ever played (includes Diamond, Demeter, Boss etc).

Has to be powered by a power supply i.e. no battery etc? Whats the boost like? Does it get dirty as a clean boost etc? I am thinking about a tremolo and if it's boost is something like my Soul Food then I could have 2 in one pedal etc

No you can power with either a battery or a power supply (uses 9-18v power). I've got a few of their pedals and I use a mix of power supply and batteries (for the treble booster which has reverse polarity).

The boost is very nice and will certainly push it into a bit of dirt if required. Also adds a bit of the germanium warmth and grit to the sound that I love.

Don't suppose you know the power consumption required etc?

Should work with most standard power supplies. It can go up to 18v but I've generally just used 9v and it sounds great.

Thanks, quite low draw then. I suppose the decibel boost will go to 30DB only if using an 18v supply. I'll check out those sound files when I get home tonight. I believe they've gone out of business but what is the difference to the TT-2 vs TT-3?

Still in business as far as I'm aware, although they changed names from Telenordia to Tortenmann a few years ago. My mistake, it is a TT-3 not a TT-2! They've only ever had the TT-3 as far as I'm aware, my brain is just playing up.

Ah that's probably what I read somewhere. I'll check out the sound files and let you know what I think etc
