I plugged my Les Paul in, leaned it against the Marshall and cranked up the volume and gain. Then I held my phone to the speaker for a few minutes.

George and Janet are ageing teachers who are struggling financially. After an unexpected car repair bill, and with an impending mortgage payment George is considering desparate measures.

"Janet, there's nothing else for it - I hate that it's come to this, but I think our only option now is for you to go on the game"

Janet thinks it over, and after some soul searching agrees to give it a shot. Friday night comes around, and he drops her off at the red light district.

A few tense hours later, George hears the front door open, and in walks Janet. "How did you get on?" he asks.

"Actually pretty good I think" replies Janet, pulling a pile of cash from her bag. George looks on in amazement, and counts up the £400 and 50p.

"That's incredible, I'm so grateful Janet, I don't know how to thank you. But tell me, what tight bugger gave you 50p??"

Beaming with pride, Janet replies "All of them!"
