  • I show my dogs at fun local summer shows. Ours are both rescue dogs with terrible previous lives and are unusual (hairless), so we enjoy the socialising part and showing people they dont need to spend £1000 on a puppy from a horrific farm (rhod was a stud on one. Horrible places). Benji (born hairless, cocker spaniel)was adopted from Romania last summer, had never really seen outdoors after living in a small box at a vets for nearly 12 months. Suffers nightmares a lot, and has to be under a blanket a lot, or sitting in the bath, but is improving so much. Just never been loved so doesnt know how to act.

Whilst Ive never been to crufts, I do think (or thought) they had changed a lot, however this sad story shows clearly not.

Police still looking for leads ;)
Yeah, The Sun used that as a tagline.  I'm glad we live in enlightened age where cruelty to animals is hilarious.
I don't really blame people for going for puns, though I probably wouldn't make the joke myself given the context, but I'm pretty disappointed you can get paid by the country's largest newspaper for that kind of lazy writing.
Was a little surprised the vet was able to diagnose poisoning, but I suppose they see accidental cases from time to time.
