I have a problem ...... Crisps.

What's Hot
axisusaxisus Frets: 28354
For years I ate a packet a day at work, always at 4.00pm with a nice hot cup of tea. Around 3 years ago, I decided to quit them as I thought that the salt was probably not helping my highish blood pressure. It was really hard, but I gave up. I decided to never buy crisps, but allow myself some at buffets etc. All was good for 2.5 years, but then a problem arose ......... my  boss turned up at work with a big packet of Walkers Sensations Thai Sweet Chilli crisps that we could all share. they were the best crisps ever!!!!! I could not resist them, and before I knew it every other week I was buying a big 150g packet with my Monday shop and making it last 3 days. That was then, but now I find myself buying a 150g packet every Monday and stuffing them all in one morning. I just love them, and I can't resist them once open. I think I need to try and do a serious quit again, but it will be harder as this flavour is AMAZING!!!!

Damn my lack of self control. Here's the bastards:

And your pre-quit levels were a a pack a day so that's where it's heading.  Which is why I don't ever have cream crackers in the house!  "Oh just have a few...." -- it ain't ever gonna happen.  Just get them out of the list of available choices... cos it's never a "choice" with these things; it's a foregone conclusion how it's going to go... eventually.

Willpower is much easier when the available choices are all pretty decent.

I've never been much of a crisp eater but I'm on a packet of Corfresh hot chilli potato hoops most days now. Something properly spicey, yumm. http://www.toorsupermarket.com/ekmps/shops/toorsupermarket/images/cofresh-hot-chilli-potato-hoops-2039-p.jpg :)

The ultimate crisps are the noble Chipsticks. I could eat 10 packs of them in a row and never get bored, and I love the way they stick too your teeth. A snack that keeps on giving!!!

Coke a cola was my vice, I used to drink four litres of the stuff a day, and when I quit drinking it I was physically ill with withdrawal, it shocked me after I stopped drinking the stuff not just how addicted I was to it, but how addictive the drink can be.

It's not just the excess salt and fat, the flavourings in these things are very suspect. I have related before that my sister worked for a firm that sold concentrated flavourings for foods including crisps. They had to be shipped with HazChem notices. Do you really want to put that in your body?
