Thanks everyone.. I know Aus is expensive however the wage over there are a lot more than here so it's not really a good comparison to compare prices like for like.

And our winters get as cold as 10 degrees, not like out here where you can run about in shorts and t-shirt and go tanning at the local beach during the height of winter, I'm still wearing fucking long johns and thermal underwear for christ sake.

My plans to do similar, albeit to a different ex-Commonwealth country, were scuppered by their immigration rules. Hope the Ozzers smile kindly on you in that respect.

I'd be right in Oz with my name (Bruce), there's a law that I'm allowed free reign just because of my name!*
