    Is that lighting rig right above the stage still as much of a noise problem? Although you may not know how bad it can be if you were only using covered humbuckers...

    That's one of the venues that made me swear to never use a guitar without at least one humbucking setting for gigs.

    Yep. Weirdly it was affecting the bass amp more than anything. I played a Tele half the night, but the sound guy was a pro and ironed out all the problems.

    The worst time was with my Rickenbacker 4003 bass. I had to stand in a very specific and quite awkward position in order to stop the buzz even on a clean sound, and fuzz was unusable. When I changed to my 4001 I specifically put humbuckers in it exactly for that reason...

    It's a shame, because it's a great venue. The whole stage power circuit is suspect though. We went through several mains extension cables to find some that didn't add to the buzz.
