I've decided to roll out the big guns.

No Longer For Sale 1974 Telecaster, all original except for a quality refret and a new switch that was replaced in 1986 (I have the receipt!). And the important bit for all you 70s tele lovers, the weight is a just right 7lbs 8oz. All the pot dates/neck/neck plate tie in with 74. It's road worn in an actually played on the road way and is an absolute corker. Remember those pens you could write on your stuff to identify it if it was stolen? The previous owner marked it but it's only slightly visible in a certain light and just a long side the neck plate. Comes with original case but it's not Fender, £1800 £1675

1976 Les Paul Deluxe, all original apart from a replaced nut and pickguard (I have the original cracked one). Some modest battle scars here and there, it was toured by a punk band in the late 70s who never quite made it or I'd be asking a lot more! It's reassuringly heavy and has the usual 76 specs like the rock solid 3 piece neck. Pot dates and serial number all spot on 76. I played this at my wedding so don't tell the wife! Comes with original chainsaw case £1875 £1750 £1650

They are basically both superb which is why I have hung on to them for a few years and the old chestnut of I don't really know why I'm selling etc applies but I've been having a bit of a shake up in my collection of late and this is part of it. Cold hard cash ideally or tradeswise hit me with anything funky in the Fender/Gibson department but needs to be interesting ie not a standard tele or strat, great as they are I've got them already.
