both very nice examples of the year they come from

funny how you can look at a 40 year old tele and the neck looks brand new.  proper wrong shape body and proper 3 clear separate colour sunburst.

love the deluxe with the 3 piece maple neck and triangular clown burst back and droopy pick shaped clown burst front.  i know that sounds derogatory, but i really do love it.  it has a nice looking  volute, rather than the ones that gave volutes a bad name

it saddens me that such nice examples of period correct guitars are valued so much lower than  fake examples of earlier versions

That Deluxe looks great. It's nice to see one that hasn't been gouged out for Humbuckers. I wish I had something to trade for it.

I'm thinking about keeping the tele as i'm back on a bit of a tele love roll at the moment. But for the time being the lovely lp deluxe is still up for grabs.

Thanks for the offer mate, but the last thing I need is another brand of guitars to get in to! :)
